repoquery -a --tree-requires PACKAGE_NAMEAnd finally use that with repotrack:
repotrack -a x86_64 -p . $(repoquery --qf=%{name} -g --list --grouppkgs=all 'Office Suite and Productivity' |tr '\n' ' ')Now for the fun part, why use all the above when you can simply use: yumdownloader --resolve So, if you have reached this line then you don't need repotrack/repoquery, simply use yumdownloader :)

and if you want gnome-screensaver compatibility then install the package gphotoframe-gss also.
Gnome Photo Frame is a photo frame gadget for the GNOME Desktop. Let’s see how this works.. run the command gphotoframe from a terminal:
Here is what you will see :

Don’t panic on seeing the blank/black page. You need to add the source first. **
**
*for i in .jpg; do montage -geometry 720×576 -background black -quality 100 $i conv-$i; done
This is one line that you can run the directory containing all your images and all the files with extension of ”jpg” will be assumed to be images and the command run on them to add the border. The border is black in color and quality of the border is 100%.
The magic used here is montage command that is available in package : ImageMagick
If you do not have this package installed and use yum package manager then just run the command:
yum install ImageMagick
There are quite a lot of other options available with montage command that you can see in the man page or with –help

Though IRC is quite native to Linux, I did not know where to start. So, I noted down the list of steps that need to be done to get you started. (Note this may not be new to most of you).
First install a IRC client like xchat-gnome. To do that
sudo yum install xchat-gnome
Once that is done, just fire up your xchat-gnome. you might have to enter some details for the first time 🙂
If you want to join a server not listed in the list, then you can add the server:
Go to Edit -> Preference -> Network -> Add
and add the server.
Note: If you are running squid and getting an error
for being behind open proxy then you should deny all hosts and allow just your intranet or just your host 🙂 Related articles by Zemanta Using the OMG! Ubuntu! If you would not want to keep checking for the updates then you can add the ailurus repo and enable it so that as soon as a new version is available, it is updated when you run your regular updates.
Here is what is required :

Running this monotonously every day is quite boring, so comes to rescue is logwatch. I have Fedora installation so I will talk about the location with respect to that so for your distribution it might be a little different.
First install logwatch using 🙂 yum install logwatch
and you are done.
If you need to do more configuration and want to see something different in the mail that is sent( BTW sendmail is assumed to be default mail client), the keep reading.
First open the file /etc/logwatch/conf/logwatch.conf
The contents for my distro is just one line 🙂
# Local configuration options go here (defaults are in /usr/share/logwatch/default.conf/logwatch.conf)
So, open the file /usr/share/logwatch/default.conf/logwatch.confbr
I will highlight the important lines in the file here:
LogDir = /var/log — This is the directory for all the log files
MailTo = root — Whom should the mail be sent to
Print = If this is set to true then there will be no mail sent and the output will be displayed on the stdout.
Detail = The level of details you want to see in the mail or the output on screen.
Thats pretty much it.. If you want to further modify the details in the mail you can configure the services. For more advanced usage you can even go to
/usr/share/logwatch/scripts/services and configure the individual scripts.
Related articles by Zemanta

Logwatch for Linux Systems.
